At the end of Monday, here are the generals that have been assigned:

Jeff D: Momir Vig
Ryan Fl: Teneb, the Harvester
Bob: Scion of the Ur-Dragon
Kevin C: Treva, the Renewer
Scott B: Angus Mackensie
Brandon T: Vorosh, the Hunter

Mason and Donny G "clashed" for Hanna, with Mason winning on a die roll.

March NBE: Voting!

Hey gang,

We need to decide on a constructed format for our March NBE. Here are your voting options:

1) Elder Dragon Highlander (apparently the rules are here. I don't know what kind of modifications we would have to make, but there's the basic idea.)

2) OneCC. We've added a lot of cards to Legacy since we last did this. Seems like it would be good to do it again.

3) Good old Peasant Highlander.

4) Good old Pauper Highlander. (Have we ever actually done Pauper before?)

5) Peasant Build-Your-Own Standard

Awesome. Those are the choices. Vote for some of them! (Don't rank, please.)

progressive deckmaster stuff added to website

Check out our homepage. I added stuff about Progressive and Deckmaster formats. (And explained the combined event.)

Wow, our site needs an overhaul, eh? Maybe I'll have the chance to work on that at some point... :-P

NBE: February 2008: Emperor!

We need to vote: Draft Emperor or Sealed Emperor? In either case, it will be wacky. This NBE will be on February 10, and will probably start at noon or 12:30.

Since there will be some waiting time for people, we will have Progressive Deckmaster on the side.

As usual, this will be wacky. We will do our best to determine teams ahead of time. If you have a team, please email me with your team. If you don't, please email me and I'll try to find you a team. If there is an extra team missing one person, I'll join that team at the tournament.

Since this is limited, there will be no entry fee, and prizes will be determined by redrafting rares/foils/purples.

Great!

NBE: November

Hey gang:

We are voting on the Next Big Event! This is going to be build-your-own Type 2, which means the following:

Pick two blocks between Lorwyn and the Rath Cycle, including also Ice Age (Ice Age, Alliances, Coldsnap) and one Core Set (from Revised to Tenth). Your deck will be built from these sets, adhering to any bannings in that block or during standard while that block was legal. (No raffinity, etc). Then, we'll play one of the following Tournaments:

A) Peasant

B) Pauper

C) Tag Team Peasant(as we tried before; each player gets to use only one of the two blocks to build their decks. However, both may pull cards from the same core set. Also... it's Peasant.)

D) 2HG (with randomized teams each round)

As usual, we'll be using approval voting! :-P Go ahead and vote:-P

When are we actually playing? Please suggest a Sunday in November. The Sundays before and after Thanksgiving are out, sorry.

When is voting closed? I dunno; I'll announce soon.

NBE: October 2007

Hey gang,

Our next big event will likely be held on October 14th or October 21st. Also, it will be one of the following three formats: (yes, I added one!)

A) 2HG draft

B) Backdraft

C) Progressive Garth draft

The final option likely requires some explanation (I don't think the "progressive" part is explained online). Essentially, players start with one pack, then draft it against one person and play a game. The players then keep the 15 cards they drafted, and use that as their pack against the next opponent.

Players would play 5 games, anyone winning 4 of those games would get a free pack; anyone winning all 5 would claim a free draft set :-)

There's been some clamoring for Garthing, so I thought I would add this last option! :-)

As usual, we're using approval voting, so feel free to vote for as many different options as you'd like here. Please post your votes as comments to this post. If you don't specify who you are, I may not count your vote. If you already voted by emailing me, please post here also. Additionally, you may change your vote at any time.

(Feel free to voice preference for your favorite of the two date options also.)

Voting will close October 6th.
